PantheonAi – Leading Europe Into The Future

A historic technology
investment in the
heart of Europe.
Leading Europe
into the future.
Croatia’s new Pantheon data centre will revolutionize the development of artificial intelligence in the European Union, ushering in a new era of economic prosperity, job creation, and renewable energy production.
This project is a powerful combination of U.S. capital with Croatian technical and regulatory expertise—and a model for what transatlantic digital infrastructure investment can look like.
About Pantheon
Pantheon is a 1 GW AI-ready data centre and innovation campus built for hyperscale cloud, AI, and mission-critical workloads.
Above Tier IV
Built to highest international standards of reliability and resilience.
Q1 2029
Projected to be completed and fully operational in Q1 2029.
€50 billion+
Croatia’s and Central & Eastern Europe’s largest-ever single investment and the region’s biggest data centre project.
The Challenge
Europe’s AI economy is growing faster than its infrastructure can support. While demand continues to rise, the continent’s primary data centre markets are running out of power and space.

The Solution
Pantheon is built where the power is, where the fibre runs, and where capacity exists to meet the moment. Croatia offers electricity prices significantly below the European average, embedded access to three major EU fibre corridors, and low-latency connectivity to Italy, Austria, Hungary, Slovenia, and the broader CEE region—one of Europe’s fastest-growing markets for AI-native investment and one of its most underserved for hyperscale infrastructure. Construction begins early 2027 with a streamlined permitting process supported by national and regional authorities.
Power and Security
A data centre is only as reliable as its power supply. Pantheon is built with that in mind.
Four dedicated 400kV transmission lines will connect the campus directly to Croatia’s national grid via the SS Topusko substation (400 /(220)/(110)/33 kV). The grid connections run in two directions: east-west toward Slovenia, Hungary, and Austria and north-south toward southern Croatia and Italy.
On site, a 500 MW solar plant will provide clean, locally generated power backed by large-scale battery storage.

Project Benefits
1
Infrastructure
Hub
Establishes Croatia as a leading European hub for digital infrastructure.
2
1,500
Permanent Jobs
Along with the creation of these jobs, 3,000 more will be generated by the construction phase.
3
Supports Clean
Energy Future
By developing new transmission lines and substations, Pantheon will enable the integration of approximately 5.2 GW of new clean energy capacity in Croatia, directly aligning with AccelerateEU to address the global energy crisis.
4
Economic
Engine
Generates long-term economic activity, tax revenue, and supply chain opportunities for local businesses.
5
Minimal
Disruption
The future campus is sited on open land in central Croatia and designed to minimize any disruption to local communities.
Frequently Asked Questions
What technology and expertise underpin Pantheon?
The project brings together a local expert consortium with U.S. technology integration, combining advanced GPU semiconductor systems with local design and delivery expertise. Built to align with NVIDIA’s GW Scale AI Factory standards, it ensures higher than Tier IV-level resilience, security, and performance.
Why Croatia?
Croatia offers a uniquely strategic location within the EU, NATO, Schengen, and Eurozone, featuring highly competitive electricity prices—around 75% of the European average— and strong fibre connectivity across Central and Eastern Europe. Positioned at the crossroads of major EU data corridors, it provides low-latency access to fast-growing AI hubs, yet remains an underserved market in terms of hyperscale and AI-ready data centre capacity.
What is the project timeline?
Construction is expected to start in Q2 2027 and commercial operations will begin in Q1 2029.
How many jobs will it create?
The project will create 1,500 permanent jobs on completion, with a further 3,000 roles during the construction phase. Croatian workforce participation is a priority.
Will this put pressure on Croatia’s energy grid?
No. The project includes new transmission infrastructure that connects to and strengthens Croatia’s national grid. The campus will also feature an on-site solar plant and battery storage, with a goal of running entirely on renewable energy.
What is the environmental impact?
The campus is designed with sustainability at its core, targeting 100% renewable energy supply and enabling Croatia to integrate significantly more renewable generation into the national grid. The project has low embodied CO₂ emissions – less than 212 tCO₂e per MW installed. The site itself is in a low-density, low-impact location.
